Regional Director for Security Engineering in the Western Hemisphere
Trisha Marks currently serves as the Regional Director for Security Engineering in the Western Hemisphere.  Trisha joined the Department of State as a Security Engineering Officer in 2004 and has held assignments abroad and in the U.S.  Most recently, Trisha served as the Officer-in-Charge at the Engineering Services Center in Frankfurt enhancing security at over 20 locations in Europe.  Before Germany, she was the Branch Chief for Certification, Accreditation, and Transit Security within the Office of Physical Security Programs.  In this role she was responsible for ensuring that the Department designed and constructed diplomatic facilities to adequately and appropriately protect personnel and information, to include projects in London, N’Djamena, and Jakarta; the U.S. wing of the New NATO headquarters in Brussels; and the new office compound in Taipei, to name a few.  Trisha also completed tours in China, Saudi Arabia, as well as the Bureau of Global Talent Management.  

Trisha is from Brooklyn, New York and received Bachelor of Science degrees in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Hartford in Connecticut.  She was introduced to the Department of State at the 2003 National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) National Convention in Anaheim, California while completing her senior year of college.
